I didn’t totally expect to enjoy this one that much. What a great surprise! The audience was cheering and laughing and having a great time, and so was I! Fast moving action, light romance, and some genuinely funny stuff made me leave the theater at the end of the movie with a smile on my face. Antonio Banderas does a great job playing the “new” Zorro and Anthony Hopkins makes a good “old” Zorro. This probably isn’t the movie to see if you are looking for lessons in realistic one-man-against-thirty swordfighting, but if you can suspend disbelief in favor of just having fun, then you should enjoy this one!
