Review: The romance wasn’t, for me, all that captivating. The portrayal of the actual sinking of the Titanic, and the aftermath, however, was truly incredible. It made a disaster that I practically took for granted really hit home for me for the disaster that it was. The movie did an excellent job showing the hugeness of the ship, the panic and disbelief of the passengers, the horror of so much death. The main flaw I found was that I never really felt the people were cold in the water, until they were actually outside in it and about to die. When they were in the ship while the water was rushing in, they didn’t seem shocked at the cold as I would imagine would have been the case.
