Note: “rooting” your Droid gives you root access to the phone, allowing for more control and more functionality of your phone. There are a ton of apps that only run on rooted phones. HOWEVER: please note that rooting your phone VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY. If you have a problem and need to return your phone, you will need to return to stock before doing so. If they find out you rooted your Droid, you may not get a replacement on your warranty.
