Independence Day on the DC Mall, 1999

Yesterday was Independence Day. We went into DC around 1:30 to see the fireworks. It was HOT. Very hot. It was 98 degrees, with a heat index around 105-110. (Note: I still say Tucson was worse, as we’d have days where the temp was ACTUALLY 110-115 or more. Then in July/August during the rainy season, you have humidity on top of that.
